Lindy can’t sit with us

Gonna cut right to the chase here before my cool comes in.

I was in the bus on my way home and on one of the first few seats, there was this lady comfortably seated, legs crossed, playing with her phone while less than two steps away, there was another pregnant lady standing and holding on whatever was around to keep herself balance.

I’m gonna call the seated lady Lindy, because she was carrying the Lindy bag.

Lindy sat with her back facing the rest of the passenger.

When those standing passenger lightly.and.accidentally pressed themselves or their bag on Lindy, she’d glare at them, go ‘tsk’ and continue playing the game on her phone. She lost one round btw. Made me happy, haha. #petty

I mean it’s not like those around her purposely push themselves on her. It was the movement of the bus and they can’t help it.

When she reached her stop, because there was quite a number of people from the front moving to the back, her movement got delayed as she wanted to alight from the front. By the time she got to the front door, it was already shut. Instead of pressing the bell or saying nicely to the bus driver ‘excuse me,’ she frowned and said ‘sorry (open the door)’.

I don’t enjoy judging people but observing 1) discriminating people who don’t carry designer bag just because we can afford it is just plain rude. Hello, God can take that rizq away from you anytime. He can make it rain cats dogs alligators the moment you step out of the bus till your Lindy can’t be saved anymore. 2) Having a designer bag doesn’t entitle a person to ignore those in need more. The seat was a yellow coloured seat. Yellow coloured seat are for children, elderly andΒ pregnant women.

(Omg, the rage I’m feeling right now… and she only stays one stop away from me. How insulting! Hahaha *drama* but true.)

My point is, (today’s not my good writing day guys, sorry!), since when does carrying a designer bag allows you to treat people who does not carry a designer bag any differently. Just because someone’s nylon bag got pressed against your leather bag doesn’t give you the right to frown and go ‘tsk’ at them.

If carrying designer bag makes you feel that others are such a muggle and lower than you then please, isolate yourself. Get your limo driver to send you home since you can afford an Hermes. Bus, train and taxi must be crampin’ your style.

I don’t care if you carry a crocodile Birkin or an ostrich Birkin. If you don’t have manners, maybe you should sell that bag away and enroll yourself in a class which teaches manners.

Hopefully, she can afford to buy a bus of her own soon. Lindy can’t sit with us. Because Lindy is tooΒ atas.

On a sidenote, gonna be honest, eversince I laid my eyes on the Lindy bag few years ago, I fell in love with it. The fold and structure is just *gaaaaasp* 😍😍😍😍😍 but of course, it’ll take time before I can afford it comfortably. You know, I’m sure there’ll come a day where I wake up going, ‘Hmmmm… I have $12k extra money lying on the floor to throw around. What should I do with it? Oh yes, let’s get another bag’. And when that day come, if you ever see me be all snooty about it, please buy an ice cream and smother it all over my Lindy and show me this post k! I promise to not charge you for a new piece or the cleaning fee (if it can be saved). Bahahaha.
